Thomas the Train in NC

We have had tickets since April to go see Thomas when he made his stop in Spencer, NC at the Transportation Museum. It is a really great place and even though the weather was crummy and drizzly the whole time, we all really enjoyed it.

Quick old photos

I'll put some pics on here without much comment...these pics are already months old. That's the problem with digital...too easy to let them sit around without doing anything with them!
Oh, but note the forehead bruise which wasn't completely 'shopped out. It was huge, but I can't even recall what caused it now.
I will say that the best way to get him to settle down right now is to ask for him to help. With anything.

The Season

Since it's been so long since I posted...what comes to mind is how much Liam has enjoyed the two parades he has been to (I mean really, firetrucks, tractors and marching bands, all in the same place?) I'm sure to him it could hardly be any better unless "Thom-as" was in it. As in, Thomas the Tank Engine. If the TV is on, he asks for Thomas. The TV is merely a delivery system for the Thomas fix. We will be in trouble when he learns to operate the DVR, it may be parental lockdown time.

The typical toddler food idiosyncracies have started....if he sees ketchup, he'll want it. Whether it is on a food or not. I put it on a biscuit the other day so he wouldn't keep licking my french fries and handing them back. He doesn't like french fries, go figure. But he mostly definitely won't starve and eats enough fruit to send Carmen Miranda screaming in terror.

So for Christmas, some Thomas stuff, some Little People, some books...and if Santa happens to spot a pedal car before Christmas, well that might be under the tree also.

A late photo from the reunion....Liam with his cousin Brooke again.

And with Grandma-

Back to the Beach

We stayed plenty busy even though the weather wasn't that great. Back to the aquarium, to the train museum...oh, and we discovered the doughnuts on the Boardwalk. Everyone was right, they are the best doughnuts ever!

It's a Hard Knock Life

I didn't realize that toddler life can be so hard! The other week I pick him up from daycare, ANOTHER boo-boo report. This time he got bitten on the hand by one of his "friends." Not as bad as the face-biting, though.

Yesterday they called to have him picked up, they thought he had pink eye. A trip to the doctor uncovered a sinus infection. Ick. He slept for a record 12 hours last night. He was whooped.

We went to the beach the other weekend...it was too cool to really get in the water, in addition to the rough waves, but Liam didn't care much about it anyhow.
